Grounding disconnectors are designed to disconnect and turn on de-energized sections of a 35 kV industrial frequency 50 Hz high voltage electrical circuit that are under voltage, as well as no-load currents of transformers and charging currents of overhead and cable lines. Disconnectors also provide grounding of the main current-carrying circuit from the side of the removed voltage when it is disconnected and safe operation on the disconnected section of the electrical circuit.
